TV households in US drop

For the first time in nearly 20 years, the number of households with television sets has dropped from 98.9 percent.According to the Nielsen Company two factors contributed to the drop; low-income families cannot afford new digital TVs and cable services.

Ryan Seacrest, 36, is reportedly in talks with a FOX TV network rival about creating a new reality show to challenge 'American Idol.' News of the possible move comes a year after another high-profile 'Idol' departure.
