Bengals’ Devon Still says his daughter Leah is still fighting cancer

Bengals’ Devon Still says his daughter Leah is still fighting cancer, Leah Still's fight against pediatric cancer continues after her father, Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman Devon Still, received some heartbreaking news this week.

Devon Still provided an emotional update on her condition on Instagram on Sunday.

"I wanted to hear so bad that my daughter's cancer was gone and when I didn't it hurt me bad,'' he wrote. "I couldn't even bring myself to tell my family the results without breaking down. I honestly just wanted to shut down from every one. But I understand that blessing don't happen when I want them to, they happen when they're suppose to. So we are going to keep faith and keep fighting no matter what. #LeahStrong #BeatCancer."

Leah, 4, was diagnosed with Stage IV neuroblastoma on June 2, 2014, and has since undergone a five-hour surgery in September to remove a tumor from her stomach. She was honored by the Bengals for her courageous fight during a November game against the Cleveland Browns.

Leah also was one of the inspiring children in the "Truly Brave" video starring Cyndi Lauper and Sara Bareilles that was produced by TODAY's Hoda Kotb. Part of TODAY's Shine a Light series to support worthy causes, the video featured children battling pediatric cancer at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

At their Nov. 6 game against the Browns, the Bengals presented a $1.3 million check to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital that came from sales of Still's No. 75 jersey. The Bengals had announced on Sept. 8 that 100 percent of Still's jersey sales would go toward fighting pediatric cancer.
