Candice Bergen plastic surgery, After years of altering her body to please Hollywood, Candice Bergen has had enough.
And after revealing she eats whatever she pleases, she has now turned her attentions to plastic surgery.
'I'm clearly in need but I frankly just don't care enough,' the 68-year-old actress said of going under the knife as she talked to People.
The multi-award nominated performer told the publication that she had numerous cosmetic procedures throughout her long-standing career - but has reached her limit.
'I had my eyes done after the pilot of Murphy Brown when I was 41,' she admitted.
'And then the next year I had these two [neck] muscles under here done, because TV half-hour lighting can be harsh.'But as of late, Candice has no plans to change her appearance.
'I'm clearly in need,' she joked.
'But I frankly just don't care enough. I don't even get those shots anymore because it hurts so much!'
Candice has achieved a full and varied career including modeling for Vogue, an Oscar nomination and countless Emmys for her hit TV show Murphy Brown, which aired from 1988 - 1998.
And as she continues to be honest about her plastic surgery past, the star wants her friends to follow suit.
'I hate when my very close friends have obvious work done and they come out too early and pretend it's all fine,' she said.
'You think, "Hello, have you looked at yourself? You look over-inflated!" I'm one of the few who has been honest about it.'
Her decision to speak out about her changing image comes after she published her new memoir, A Fine Romance.
In the tell-all, the living legend estimates she has put on 30 pounds in the past 15 years, but says she simply doesn't care.
'In the past 15 years... I have put on 30 pounds. I live to eat. Let me just come right out and say it: I am fat.
'None of this "eat to live" stuff for me. I am a champion eater. No carb is safe - no fat, either,' she readily confesses.
At a recent dinner party I shared bread and olive oil, followed by chocolate ice cream with my husband. A woman near me looked at me, appalled, and I thought, "I don't care,"' she writes.
But soon, Candice found out that being too honest doesn't always result in positive reactions from her fans.
'Well didn't that come back to bite me in the ass!' she shared with Entertainment Weekly.
'Obviously I erred on the side of frankness and should have pulled back, but nobody saved me from myself.'
