She's back! Farrah Abraham returns to Teen Mom after co-stars Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout beg MTV to ban her
But on Friday UsWeekly announced that Farrah Abraham - who recently suffered a serious lip injection malfunction - was going back to Teen Mom.
Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell, and Maci Bookout had asked MTV in May to not allow her to re-join the show that made them all stars in 2009.
The 23-year-old - who has a daughter Sophia, aged five - told the site that she was happy to be back on the series, which launched in 2009.
'There’s going to be lots of excitement from the Teen Mom fans and MTV’s fan base as well, so I’m excited to be back!' the adult film star said.
It looked as if the request made by Portwood, Lowell, and Bookout was going to be fulfilled. The co-stars have openly argued with the controversial star over the years. Lowell, 33, got into an argument with the brunette on VH1's Couple's Therapy.
But MTV had a change of heart, which Abraham, who resides in Austin, Texas, is happy about.
'I think they were more or less saying that there was more to my story that they really felt was missing from the Teen Mom show, and I totally agree with them,' she said.
'I understand their point of view, and it was a funny situation to be in.'
Teen Mom returns this spring for season five.
Teen Mom creator Lauren Dolgen revealed to Us, '[The other girls] know that she's coming back, and it did create a little bit of controversy that will play out in the series.'
The crew had already started filming when they realized they really needed Farrah, it was claimed.'It was obvious to me that we needed the fourth story,' she said. 'There is such a balance of having four stories. There is more of [Farrah's] story to tell.
'The girls missed opportunities because they were young mothers and now they have new challenges and new opportunities, but it's just been an important part of the story telling.'
Farrah said she wishes everyone can get along.
'I’m just hoping that [the cast is] better off, and they’re doing well because I know personally I’m providing for my daughter, making my future as best as I can as well,' she said.
She added that she needs to be the breadwinner.
'I think it was important because I mean just weighing out the options and my future for my daughter,' the former model said.
'Teen Mom is important for the children and their futures. And I think it holds some good opportunities for Sophia and her future.'
Abraham also said she will not be changing her ways.
'I’m not doing anything differently that I would not do when the cameras are there or not there,' she said.
'I mean, I don’t know if it really benefits me to be on TV because I was most successful in my career when I was away from Teen Mom.
'So if it benefits me then that’s randomly benefiting. I’m more or less looking at it to benefit Sophia.'
