De Matteo, known for roles on “The Sopranos” and “Sons of Anarchy,” could only watch in horror as her home was destroyed. Drea sent several photos of the fire on Instagram last Thursday.

Drea de Matteo’s apartment was engulfed by the fire that closed the main street to the neighborhood for most of the day. Another snapshot she posted shows firefighters on the scene.

The entire building was leveled by a seven-alarm fire that injured more than 20 people. Good Samaritans scrambled to help people escape, and firefighters took just three minutes to arrive, according to Canada Journal.
The building at 123 Second Ave. collapsed completely, authorities said. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio sent out a press release a short time after.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with every one of them and their families. Of course, we are praying that no other individuals are injured and there are no fatalities.”
Fashion designer Charlotte Ronson, another former resident of the collapsed building, also took to Instagram to express her sorrow to Matteo.
“I love you and am so sorry beyond words.”
Modern Family star Sarah Hyland also had a personal tie to the terrible day on Second Ave. She grew up across the street from the apartment building.
