I'm happy to watch!' Pregnant Asher Keddie says she wouldn't like to take part in Strictly Ballroom The Musical despite singing and dancing on Young Talent Time aged nine

I'm happy to watch!' Pregnant Asher Keddie says she wouldn't like to take part in Strictly Ballroom The Musical despite singing and dancing on Young Talent Time aged nine, As Asher Keddie gets ready to welcome her first baby, the Offspring actress is taking some well-deserved time off.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Saturday night at Strictly Ballroom The Musical in Melbourne, the 40-year-old seemed relaxed as she revealed: 'I'm having a break now'.

This will be Asher's first child and her husband, Vincent Fantauzzo's second - he has a lookalike son named Luca, five, from a previous relationship.

While she starts to put her feet up in preparation for the little bundle of joy, it doesn't mean that she can't enjoy herself.

The X-Men Origins: Wolverine star revealed her love for Baz Luhrman and his wife Catherine Martin's musical with the pregnant actress saying, 'I love it, I love anything Baz does.'

This musical does make you feel like you want to participate and get up and dance. And I've already been singing all the songs.'

But the Gold Logie award winning actress added that she was happy watching from her seat rather than being a part of it.I am happy to watch but this kind of musical does make you feel like you want to participate - get up and dance,' she laughed.

However, this wasn't always Asher's view when it came to performing it seems.

A video has emerged of a nine-year-old Asher, dressed in pink overalls and a frilly blouse, singing her heart out on Young Talent Time to the Tina Charles hit Dr. Love.

Asher certainly has a bubbly personality. She performs with plenty of confidence and obviously enjoys performing and that certainly makes her very easy to watch,' the judge explained after her rendition in 1983.

However, he went on to critique her choice of song, describing it as 'difficult' and 'one that required a lot of singing technique'. He also said that he believed her breathing let her down.

That didn't stop him from marking her highly: 'A very pretty girl and I think you have a future, 79 points,' he said.
