Jon Cryer Breaks Down His Funniest 'Two and a Half Men' Moments

Jon Cryer Breaks Down His Funniest 'Two and a Half Men' Moments, Twelve seasons of on-screen laughs — and several months of off-screen drama, which, to be fair, was pretty funny at times, too — comes to a conclusion on Feb. 19 when Two and Half Men airs its hour-long series finale. Star Jon Cryer, who has won two Emmys for his role as the hapless but endearing Alan Harper, is the only actor to appear in all 262 episodes of the series, but says he’s ready to begin the next chapter of his career.

"People keep telling me, 'You’re going to go through a process: you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll soil yourself,' but so far it’s been great," Cryer tells Yahoo TV. "I miss the people … they’re all great, and I will miss them, but you know, I’m ready to do something else."

Speaking of next chapters, first up on his post-Men to-do list: releasing his memoir, So That Happened, on April 7. In the book, he dishes on everything from his early roles like Pretty in Pink to his famous co-stars and personal life, and yes, in the quarter of the book devoted to Two and a Half Men, his former co-star, Charlie Sheen, rates more than a mere mention. It’s 30 years of weirdness in Hollywood," he says. "It’s mostly just the stranger aspects of being in the movie and TV industry. It was a very interesting experience, because I started writing it without knowing what it was going to be about, which filled me with fear, and actually made me not want to do it.

"But over the months, it became clear that the story I wanted to tell was just how strange it can get, and that the narrative of my life seems to be a succession of weirdness, up until the ultimate weirdness, Two and a Half Men going so crazy. I go into from the day I booked the show to things falling apart and then coming back together again."

As for his other Men co-star, Ashton Kutcher, Cryer says the two will likely watch the series finale together, and that they’ll both be surprised by exactly how the storyline wraps up. If there is a Sheen cameo — as has been rumored and hoped for by fans for months — Cryer insists the cast doesn’t know about it. Which means he also can’t say whether or not the finale will prove satisfying for viewers. "I think it’s impossible to satisfy everybody, because the thing everybody likes is ending," he says. "Also, I know some of the surprises, but not all of them. I honestly don’t know everything that’s going to happen."

Meanwhile, Cryer pays homage to Alan by sharing some great behind-the-scenes memories of his character’s funniest moments with Yahoo TV, including his all-time favorite episode, working with his TV heroes, and the scene he still re-enacts with his son, Charlie.
