Mandy Moore divorce
'Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost six years,' the stars said to MailOnline in a joint statement. 'It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time.'
According to Radar Online, Moore has asked for spousal support and cited irreconcilable differences when filing the papers in Los Angeles, while her estranged husband was in New York.
Moore, 30, and Adams, 40, have no children together.
The musical couple tied the knot on March 10, 2009 in Savannah, Georgia after dating on and off for around a year.
Radar reports that Moore listed their date of separation as 'to be determined'.
The A Walk To Remember star was not wearing her wedding ring in a photo that she posted to Instagram last month.
The pair's split comes a few months after the release of Adams' self-titled album, which they collaborated on - with Moore singing back-up vocals.
The Princess Diaries actress has also said that she teamed up with her husband on her upcoming seventh studio album.
Moore and Adams talked last year about the nine pets they share - seven cats and two dogs - and described their home as like 'a little zoo'.
But the Tangled star and the former Whiskeytown member were famously private about their relationship, and rarely talked about their marriage or appeared at events together.
Before meeting her future husband, Moore dating tennis player Andy Roddick and the late Adam Goldstein, better known as DJ AM.
