Where are they now? No. 1 NFL draft picks
Do you remember Auburn’s two-sport phenom, running back Bo Jackson, running circles around every player in the SEC? Or how about "The Juice," who established himself at USC as one of the best college running backs ever. He was then picked in the first round of the NFL draft by the Buffalo Bills. Both of these athletes were both No.1 draft picks. So where are they now?
JaMarcus Russell
Russell  was drafted first overall by the Oakland Raiders in the 2007 NFL draft. After an amazing career as a Bayou Bengal, high expectations were placed on Russell. But trouble seemed to follow him immediately, when Russell held out in training camp.
Michael Vick
Vick  was drafted as the No. 1 pick by the Atlanta Falcons in 2001 after leading his Hokies to the national championship game.Vick's stint with the Falcons was cut short when he was convicted of running an illegal blood sport. He served 18 months in prison, then the Philadelphia Eagles took a chance on him in 2009. Vick had an epic season with the Eagles in 2010, earning the starting role early in the season and leading the team to an NFC East title.
Tim Couch
The Cleveland Browns drafted this No. 1 pick in 1999. A former Wildcat quarterback, Couch  suffered many injuries in the NFL, which led to his early departure. He is now an analyst for this TV network.
Steve Emtman
Steve Emtman  was the No. 1 pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 1992. The former Husky  is now a successful real estate developer. After suffering some knee injuries, his pro career ended early, when he was just 27.
Earl Campbell
Earl Campbell  is considered one of the greatest running backs of all time. He was drafted in 1978 by the Houston Oilers, now the Tennessee Titans. After an astonishing college career with the Longhorns, he went on to lead the NFL in rushing from 1978 to 1980. He now owns his own business.
Aundray Bruce
A highly touted linebacker out of Auburn, Aundray Bruce was the first draft pick by the Atlanta Falcons in 1988. High expectations were placed on Bruce coming out of college, but he started just 42 games throughout his NFL career.
O.J. Simpson
O.J. Simpson  was the No 1. pick in 1969. Long before his starring role in one of the most infamous murder trials in US history, he broke records as a Trojan. He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills. Though he was cleared of murder charges, he later was convicted of other crimes
Bo Jackson
Bo Jackson  was the first athlete to be named an All-Star in two major American professional sports. He won the Heisman trophy as a Tiger. He was a running back for the Oakland Raiders and played left field for the Kansas City Royals. What council is he the head of?
Bruce Smith
Smith is a former Hokie who was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 1985. He ended his career with 1,224 tackles and the all-time record for sacks.In 2009, Smith was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Smith now works as a large-scale hotel designer with a commercial real estate company.
Drew Bledsoe
A Central Washington native, Bledsoe was drafted first overall in 1993 by the New England Patriots. After his retirement in 2007, Bledsoe founded the Doubleback Winery along with close friend Chris Figgins. He now lives in Bend, Ore., with his wife, Maura, and five children.
John Elway
John Elway was drafted No. 1 overall by the Baltimore Colts in 1983, before being traded to the Denver Broncos. He led his team to five Super Bowls, winning the last two.  He currently holds a front-office job with the Broncos.
Courtney Brown
Brown  is a former defensive end for the Cleveland Browns. He was a No.1 pick out of Penn State. Brown had an average rookie season (70 tackles, 4.5 sacks) but played in less than half the games over the next four seasons because of injuries.
Terry Baker
He was the only Beaver in school history to win a Heisman Trophy. That's where his legend as a football player both began and ended. He was the first pick in the 1963 draft by the Los Angeles Rams (where's the team now?). He played just three seasons there and was considered one of the first Heisman busts in NFL history. Baker is now a retired lawyer living in the Pacific Northwest

Dennis Rodman, Pete Rose & Michael Phelps are just a few of the famous athletes who excelled at the game but went out of bounds in their personal lives.

Bad boys of sports
They've been accused of murder, have done prison time, cheated and, in one case, bit an opponent's ear. Playing nice? Not these guys.
Dennis Rodman
Can a bad boy be in the Hall of Fame? Apparently so, but his nicknames give you a sense of what you're getting with this multi-divorced, wrestling, drunk-driving, convicted batterer and "Celebrity Rehab" star. Oh, and Rodman has a unique flair for fashion, too.
Ty Cobb
Though he set 90 baseball records and is in the baseball Hall of Fame, Ty Cobb was surly and aggressive and was described by one newspaper as being "daring to the point of dementia." What was his nickname?

Mike Tyson
An undisputed heavyweight boxing champ with facial tattoos, Mike Tyson may be best known for his conviction for this crime and his ill-advised boxing move against Evander Holyfield.

Michael Phelps
Eight medals at the 2004 Athens Olympics and eight more at the 2008 Beijing Games allowed Michael Phelps to twice tie the record for the most successful Olympian ever. That did not stop him from driving drunk and being pictured doing this, which led to the end of a lucrative contract.

Manny Ramirez
Manny Ramirez hit more than 500 career home runs and was second all-time in grand slams, but a 50-game suspension for this did not help his reputation, nor did blowing off the president, but it's all just part of this.
Pete Rose
After the Black Sox scandal of 1919, the cardinal rule for anyone in major league baseball has been "Don't bet on games." Pete Rose saw all his career achievements, including the record for most career hits, go down the drain as he was banned from baseball for life.

Plaxico Burress
NFL wide receiver Plaxico Burress shot himself in the leg, was convicted for this and has had temporary restraining orders placed against him, but apparently he's a model prisoner.
Michael Vick
Vick did time due to his involvement in an illegal betting sport, had to declare bankruptcy from numerous claims against him, but was named Comeback Player of the Year his first season back in the NFL.
Jim Leyritz
Best known for his Yankee heroics in the 1996 World Series, Jim Leyritz admitted to using amphetamines, was convicted of this major crime and has been arrested for battery.
Jose Canseco
When it comes to steroid use in baseball, Canseco literally wrote the book. He was baseball's first 40-40 man, but besides the steroids, he pleaded guilty to an attempted smuggling charge and has been arrested for this.
John Daly
One of the most intriguing golfers ever, Daly is known for his long drives, but was in rehab at least three times, has been divorced and has this addiction.

O.J. Simpson
"The Juice" was an all-star running back and then a successful actor. and TV personality. Then he was accused of and acquitted of the murder of his ex-wife and her friend. He's currently in jail for numerous felonies in connection with this robbery.
Ron Artest
NBA star and rapper Ron Artest has been arrested for this, has been accused of cruelty to animals and was one of the main characters in a brawl between two NBA teams during which he entered the crowd to look for the spectator who allegedly threw a soft drink at him.
