Mick Jagger Empire
Mick Jagger Empire, Mick Jagger is an “Empire” fan, and he’s even pals with series creator Lee Daniels. So could that mean the 71-year-old Rolling Stones rocker will make a cameo on the hit Fox hip-hop drama? In a phone interview with Fox News posted on April 8, Jagger said he recently hit a couple of parties with Daniels and they talked shop. "I met Lee in Los Angeles during Oscar week and we had a nice (time), went to a couple parties," Jagger said. "We were sort of joking around about the music-TV business."
And while he hasn’t been officially asked to make a cameo on the series, Jagger didn’t exactly say no when asked if he’d consider it. "I think Lee would have asked me already," he said of a future role on the show. "But who knows? Stranger things have happened…. It's been very successful and it's great that a show about music can be that successful and it's good for everybody. And I think it's a really good show.”
"Empire" has been a surprise hit for Fox, with last month’s season finale scoring nearly 18 million viewers. The show has already featured several real-life music stars, including Courtney Love, Snoop Dogg and Mary J. Blige. As for Jagger, he has a pretty impressive acting resume under his belt. Even back in his band’s early days, the rock star found time to appear in films like "Performance" and "Ned Kelly." He later turned up in the 1992 sci-fi thriller, "Freejack,” and voiced his “Simpsons” alter ego, so an “Empire” cameo for Mick Jagger isn’t totally far-fetched.
