Neighbours actor Ian Smith, 76, reveals Margot Robbie gave him mouth-to-mouth when he played Harold Bishop... as he announces new sex ed series for teens, She was catapulted to worldwide fame thanks to her sexbomb role in Wolf of Wall Street and now as the femme fatale in forthcoming movie, Focus.

And as Margot Robbie's Hollywood star continues to rise, Neighbours actor Ian Smith - who played Harold Bishop opposite her in the popular soap - insists he once got intimate with her on screen.

The 76-year-old is the face of a new video series backing teachers who deliver health and sexual wellness education in schools, and boasted on Nova radio: 'Margot gave me mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.'

The actor, who this year celebrates thirty years with the iconic Australian series, says he has watched with pride over the years his former co stars Kylie Minogue and Guy Pearce graduate to big screen and rise through the show-business ranks.

Pop princess Kylie has achieved worldwide record sales of more than 70 million, boasts a slew of notable music awards, appeared on Moulin Rouge movie and judged The Voice Uk contest show.

Guy Pearce went to star in notable movies The King's Speech, Iron Man 3 and The Rover and received an Emmy for his work as Monty Beragon in Mildred Pierce opposite Kate Winslet.

Meanwhile, Melbourne-born Smith has remained largely faithful to Neighbours after three decades on the show.
He recently made headlines after appearing in a sex education video playing a grandfather in the series called 'Ask Grandad', which sees him teach young people how to put on a condom.

In a recent interview with KIIS 101.1's Matt Tilley and Jane Hall, the Aussie TV legend joked: '55 years in the business and here I am teaching sex education.'

He explained he was inspired to help because he never received proper sex education himself.
'It is one of my youngest memories, I asked my grandfather... and him telling me a few things about life which my parents never ever did,' he recalled.

'I remember my sex education from my father, I had just gone to bed and was reading a book when he walked in and gruffly sort of threw a soft cover book on the bed called Know Your Body and that was it,' the actor added.

Smith, who joined Neighbours as Harold Bishop in 1987 - when Kylie and Jason Donovan were still in the cast - and who fell in love with Madge Ramsay who was played by Anne Charleston, admitted that he got 'slightly embarrassed' while filming with condoms.

'But I thought why am I embarrassed? Do you want kids to grow up like you did?,' he told the station.
The Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Victoria, teamed up with Ansell Healthcare to produce the Ask Grandad DVD and teaching kit.
