At a time when headlines are full of reports about earthquakes, the most urgent question of architecture, is resistance to subterranean shocks. OFIS Architecture has created a tower “All-Seasons Tent Tower” main feature of which is exactly resistance to earthquakes. The project consists of two cylindrical towers, provided with solar energy, witch restaurants, apartments, shops, business centers, spa-center, swimming pool, bar and garage inside. The external facades of the towers are covered with a cellular membrane, equipped with shading devices to tap the sun in the summer, at the same time, the system provides cooling in summer and heating in winter. The roof is covered with solar panels that will supply the energy year round. In the summer of honeycombed facade is covered with greenery, planted on the terraces of the towers. This project presented at the contest for hotel of Mercedes-Benz in Yerevan, Armenia. Design is capable of withstanding earthquakes through a system of concrete cores and composite columns, which ensure the stability of the structure.
