Wal-mart ronda rousey book:Wal-Mart Won't Display Rousey Book In Stores

Wal-mart ronda rousey book:Wal-Mart Won't Display Rousey Book In Stores, Wal-Mart officials indicated they would not display MMA fighter Ronda Rousey's book in its stores, but may carry it online, according to reports.

"You can pick it up in the store if you order it online. In other words ... the book will be in the stock room, but not out for customers to see," said an official, according to TMZ.

Walmart apparently draws a line in the sand when it comes to books penned by undefeated women's bantamweight champions. According to Richard Johnson of the New York Post's Page Six, the popular retailer is reportedly refusing to display Ronda Rousey's memoir, My Fight/Your Fight, inside its stores.

TMZ clarified on Monday that Walmart stores will have the book in stock, but it can only be picked up if ordered online and will not be on display:

Spokesperson Danit Marquardt tells TMZ Sports ... Walmart has been anticipating Ronda's book release since last September, and you can already pre-order it on the company's website.

However, she did confirm the book will not be on display in Walmart stores. You can pick it up in the store if you order it online. In other words ... the book will be in the stock room, but not out for customers to see.

As for why Walmart's hiding Ronda's memoir -- Marquardt wouldn't comment on the "too violent" report ... but said "a variety of factors" played into the decision to only offer it online.

Rousey's publisher Judith Regan added, "I'm shocked, shocked to discover that censorship is going on in America!"

Amazon offers this description of the book:

In this revealing memoir, undefeated UFC champion and Hollywood star Ronda Rousey charts her difficult path to glory, revealing her tragic childhood and her father’s suicide, her meteoric rise to fame, the secret behind her undefeated UFC record, and what it takes to become the toughest woman on Earth.

Rousey (11-0 with nine submissions) has won all five of her fights in the UFC, with the most recent a 14-second first-round destruction of Cat Zingano. All but one of the 28-year-old's victories has come in the first round, and she's finished off nine of 11 foes with her famous armbar.
