Justin Timberlake Performing at VMAs, Getting Vanguard Award, Justin Timberlake is set to join performers Daft Punk, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Kanye West at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 25th.

According to MTV, the prince of pop will also be receiving this year's Michael Jackson Vanguard Award in recognition of his videos, which range from the dark and sexy "What Goes Around..." to the futuristic "Rock Your Body." Past recipients of the coveted award include Madonna, the Beastie Boys, R.E.M. and, of course, Michael Jackson.

Timberlake tied this year for most award nominations with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis; both acts received nominations in six categories each. To date, Timberlake has won a total of 14 VMAs as a solo artist and as part of 'NSYNC. He has also taken the VMAs stage as a performer many times – including in 2001, when he performed alongside Michael Jackson.

The MTV Video Music Awards will air live on August 25th from Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Additional performers and presenters are set to be announced soon.
