The contract, as reported by Rick Bonnell is an unguaranteed deal that essentially amounts to a training-camp invite. It's a start in the right direction, but it's not by any means an indicator that he'll be on the roster during the regular season.
Thompson also reports that Curry chose the Warriors over an opportunity to play in Barcelona.And because it's not enough to get a true look from an NBA team, Seth actually gets the news on his birthday.
How's that for a nice present? There's no word on whether Steph helped his younger brother get this remarkable gift, but I'm sure that Seth will want to make his brother's birthday a happy one on March 14 by lighting up the Cleveland Cavaliers with his remarkable three-point shooting.

Curry, 23, was not selected in either round of the 2013 NBA draft. He spent the last three years playing under Mike Krzyzewski at Duke, where he posted combined averages of 13.2 points and two assists per game on 43.9 percent shooting (42 percent from long range).
Like his older brother, Seth is also revered for his scoring abilities, specifically from beyond the arc. In his final collegiate season, he notched 17.5 points per contest and connected on 43.8 percent of his deep balls.
By comparison, Steph knocked down 38.7 percent of his treys in his final season at Davidson, though he also put up 28.6 points a game.
Asked in an interview by Bleacher Report's Lance Fresh what it would be like to have his brother on the Warriors, the elder Curry made reference to their days playing together in high school.
"It would be a throwback to high school," he said. "We played together one year—I was a senior; he was a sophomore. I guess you could call it a dream come true."
Neither Curry is known for their defensive prowess, but Steph readily admitted that Seth is considered the more talented of the two on that end of the floor.
"Some would say he plays better defense me," Steph explained. "I'm getting better. He can lock up."
For the younger Curry to carve out a roster spot, let alone a steady role with the Warriors, he will certainly need to "lock up" on D in addition to showcasing his shooting touch.
