Boom! Selena Gomez Puts Her Grown-Up Haters In Their Place, Selena Gomez is totally over the adults who make fun of her, because, as it turns out, grown-ups can be immature too — a revelation that’s not surprising to any who’s spent time on the Internet.

“I get picked on by grown adults all the time,” Gomez, 22, told E!. Seriously, guys? Pick on someone your own age. Or better yet: don’t pick on anyone at all.

“It’s grown-ups and I don’t get it. It just baffles me,” she said. “I wish I could just sit them down and say, ‘What were you doing at 15? What were you doing at 18? What were you doing at 21?’ Because I can guarantee you it’s not half of what I’ve done.’”

OK then. Selena, 1. Grown-adult babies, 0.

While the majority of bullying happens online, Selena said she’s staying connected with her 23.7 million Twitter followers, 16 million Instagrammers and 64 million Facebook fans. And with that many people watching your every move, it’s better to just take the high road and shake ‘em off, as one might say.

“Trust me, it’s hard,” she said. “I’ve had my moments where I’ve let them get to me but I refuse to let them win.”
