A fuel good men! Dakota Fanning gets a helping hand from generous strangers after her luxury vehicle runs out of gas

A fuel good men! Dakota Fanning gets a helping hand from generous strangers after her luxury vehicle runs out of gas, While she diligently takes cues from her directors in her many acclaimed roles, it seems that Dakota Fanning may need to pay a little more attention to her car's fuel gauge.

On Tuesday, the 20-year-old actress was left temporarily stranded in the middle of a road in Studio City, California, when her luxury Audi SUV came to a sudden halt after running out of gas.

Thankfully for the Effie Gray star, two male passers-by quickly stepped in to help her out, pushing her prized vehicle to the side of the road while she called her dad, Steven, for help.

Bubbly Dakota laughed and chatted on the phone to her father, who soon arrived with a gas can after filling on fuel up at a nearby Shell station, leaving her free to press on with her day.

The screen star donned an ensemble that matched her chilled demeanour, stepping out in a grey cardigan over a navy maxi dress, which she teamed with a pair of nude-coloured flip-flops.

With a black leather handbag resting across her torso, she wore her hair in a loosely-tied bun while she protected her eyes with a pair of rose-tinted circular sunglasses.

For her day out, the star let her natural beauty shine through, as she opted to forgo make-up.

Perhaps Dakota's busy film schedule has been getting in the way of her remembering to keep her car filled with fuel.
Her latest film Effie Gray - which debuts in her native US in April - was recently released in the UK, showing her as 19-year-old bride Euphemia 'Effie' Gray, who is paired up for marriage with art critic John Ruskin - a man 10 years her senior.

The Hollywood actress also has a starring role in the upcoming drama Franny, alongside Richard Gere and Theo James.
Additionally, she can be seen later this year in Viena And The Fantomes with Evan Rachel Wood and Zoƫ Kravitz.
The film follows the life of roadie Viena, played by Dakota, who travels across North America with a punk group in the 1980s.
