Look Who's Back On American Idol

Look Who's Back On American Idol, It's fair to say that Adam Lambert is one of the most successful acts to come out of American Idol and in this week's offering of the US talent show, the talented singer who first appeared on the show back in 2009, returned to fill in for Keith Urban as a judge.

As familiar as it was for Adam to return to the show which kick started his successful career, he was also taken back in time when current judges Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr asked him to audition again. Standing on the American Idol spot again, Adam, who has been touring with Queen, opted to perform his rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody - the same song that he auditioned with six years ago. His performance was faultless and as Harry got up to applaud him, Jennifer proceeded to throw the coveted Hollywood passes at him because she was so impressed!

However, in the promo clip for this week's episodes, Jennifer and Harry, who returned to the show for a second year, weren't just impressed with his singing. They were both impressed with the feedback he had to give to the hopefuls who were auditioning in front of him. Speaking to the camera about Adam, Harry said: "To hear him talk to these people when they were auditioning was really cool because he’s been through the entire American Idol process and it gives him a perspective that is completely unique." Admitting that Adam had something that neither Jen or him had, Harry continued: "That is something that I can’t offer, that's something that Jenny can’t offer."

Excited about Adam's cameo appearance on the show, Jennifer added: "Working with Adam was so fun", after telling Harry that she was looking forward to having "a new energy" in the audition room.

Harry also gushed about Adam during an interview with the Hollywood Reporter. Praising the show's bosses for choosing a great replacement for Keith who took time off the show. He said: "He was terrific, and having the perspective of someone who has been a contestant was really unique,” he said. “It was so unfortunate, the circumstances having Keith not being there, but you couldn’t find a better replacement for him. Those shows were exciting. It was really cool."

And with the show under pressure to perform well after the viewing figures began to dip, Harry insisted that the new season would put the show back at the top. The star added: “This is a fresh new approach and it’s going to be a really energetic, jam-packed show, and I think that is what Idol needs right now."
