Marion 'Suge' Knight Arrested for Murder in Deadly Crash, Rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight was arrested and booked for murder today and held on $2 million bail over a fatal crash Thursday in Compton, California, authorities said.

Knight's attorney said he was behind the wheel in the accident, which killed one man and injured another.

Knight claimed he was attacked by two people and, while driving away, he hit one man with his car, killing him, his attorney, James Blatt, told ABC station KABC. Another man was hospitalized.

Knight met with homicide detectives after authorities identified him as a person of interest in a hit-and-run case. According to a Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, witnesses identified the driver as Knight, and the vehicle involved in the incident was described as a red Ford F-150 Raptor, similar to Knight's vehicle.

In August, Knight was injured in a shooting at a pre-MTV Video Music Awards party in Los Angeles.

Knight, who founded Death Row Records, was also shot at a pre-VMAs party hosted by Kanye West in 2005, and he was behind the wheel of the car in which rapper Tupac Shakur was fatally shot in 1996.Death Row Records dominated the West Coast hip-hop scene of the early to mid-1990s, releasing albums such as Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" and helping to develop performers including Snoop Dogg.
