Navy Seal dies, A 31-year-old Navy SEAL died following a skydiving training accident in Florida over the weekend, officials say.
New Hampshire native William (Blake) Marston landed hard on the ground at the airport where he was training, and died Saturday morning.
Something flew off Marston's parachute as he was in free fall, a witness told cops.
"The entire Naval Special Warfare community extends our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of our teammate, Blake," Lt. David Lloyd of Naval Special Warfare said in a statement to The Virginian-Pilot. "He will be missed by all who knew him."
A graduate of Stonehill College in Massachusetts, Marston completed SEAL training in 2009 after signing up the year before. He loved to play baseball and was a member of a state championship Little League team in 1995, Fox in Boston reported.
He died "doing what he loved most: being a SEAL," his family said in a statement, according to the station. "His beautiful smile, loyalty, steadfast motivation and determination will forever be missed."
