Ohio State vs. Oregon

Ohio State vs. Oregon, At the start of the night, most people were talking about Ezekiel Elliott for his rolled up, crop-top jersey.

By the end, they were anointing him as the best player on Ohio State’s national championship-winning team…and perhaps on his way to being the best Ohio State running back ever.

The excellently named 19-year-old running back was sensational on Monday night, scoring four touchdowns and rushing for 246 yards in Ohio State’s 42-20 win over Oregon.

Elliott rushed for 98 yards in the first half, then blew it open in the second half, showing explosiveness both on the outside and between the tackles. Elliot’s speed combined with QB Cardale Jones’ power was too much for the Oregon defense to handle. It didn’t matter that the Buckeyes turned the ball over four times. Their defense held Oregon, and Elliot was too much.

He was breaking records before the game was over. He’s only 19, you have to remember, and a lot of Ohio State fans think he could be the best Buckeyes running back ever.

Maurice Clarett took to Twitter to give his blessing to the youngster. And before the game, Eddie George talked to For The Win and said he believed Elliott will be the best running back to ever play for Ohio State.

Elliott is a sophomore, and has one more year (at least) of college. But if he can build off these last two games, the predictions might turn out to be correct.
