Tom brady A Rare Foe For Chiefs, Unlike their past against Peyton Manning, which is long and bitter for the Kansas City Chiefs, they don’t have a lot of history against Tom Brady. The New England quarterback will make only the sixth start of his long career against the Chiefs on Monday night when the Patriots come to Arrowhead Stadium.

Brady is 4-1 against the Chiefs and has had some big games against them. None was bigger than his debut against the Chiefs in 2002, when he completed 39 passes for 410 yards and four touchdowns in a 41-38 Patriots victory in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

But the Chiefs have inflicted their share of pain, too. They intercepted him four times in a 2005 game as the Chiefs beat the defending Super Bowl champions 26-16 at a loud and rowdy Arrowhead. The signature play of the Brady-Chiefs rivalry came in the season opener in 2008, when Bernard Pollard’s diving tackle tore Brady’s knee ligaments and ended his season.

It’s remarkable, since the Chiefs and Patriots both play in the AFC, that this will just be Brady’s third game at Arrowhead and first since that four-interception game in 2005. Brady at Arrowhead is an uncommon site.

So whether you’re pulling for the Chiefs on Monday night or not, enjoy the unusual occurrence of a future Hall of Fame quarterback playing in Kansas City. It doesn’t happen often. We all know how rare it is for one of those guys to suit up for the home team.
