Disick Enters Rehab, Scott Disick is headed to rehab. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians personality, 31, is checking into Rythmia Life Advancement Center (RLAC) in Costa Rica, PEOPLE confirms.
The luxury treatment center, located in Lorena, Guanacaste, Costa Rica, issued an official statement obtained by PEOPLE on Monday to announce Disick's entry.
"I realize my issues are bigger than me and I'm ready to truly remedy this struggle I continue to battle," Disick said in the announcement.
The rehabilitation center specializes in alternative therapy, which includes natural, plant-based methods of rehabilitation. The reality star will participate in iboga treatment, which uses a special African plant to cure addiction, according to the statement.
Disick – who has three children (Mason, 5; Penelope, 2½, and new son Reign Aston) with longtime girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian, 35 – has continued living a partying lifestyle that has taken a toll on his family, a source tells PEOPLE.
"Kourtney is so tired. She has heard the same excuses again and again," the source says. "He lives a lifestyle that is just so different than what Kourtney wants for her life and family."
The source also adds, "Scott has to realize that his actions have consequences that go far beyond himself. He can be his own worst enemies. Everyone has tried to help him, but that makes no difference unless he can help himself."
The father of three has made headlines for his excessive drinking in the past.
In June, the reality star was hospitalized due to alcohol poisoning and sought counseling with Miami-based Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr.
"Scott struggles with the same things as us all," a source told PEOPLE in July. "I wouldn't say that his demons are any bigger than anyone else's. He just works through them publicly."
Disick appeared to be back on a healthy track in August, sharing with PEOPLE that he was "feeling good and living healthy, eating better, exercising more and doing whatever I can to get by."
A rep for Rythmia Life Advancement Center had no further comment.
