Jack Huston The Crow, Jack Huston has been tapped to join the upcoming remake of the cult film The Crow.The 32-year-old English actor 'has definitely been cast' in the remake, said James O'Barr, creator of the comic book series that spawned the franchise.

O'Barr said during the Lexington Comic and Toy Convention in Kentucky that the remake 'will shoot in a couple of months' and will be a straight adaptation of the original 1989 graphic novel, according to an article on Saturday by Dread Central.

The graphic novel was adapted into the 1994 film The Crow starring Brandon Lee who died aged 28 from an accidental shooting on the set.

O'Barr's graphic novel tells the story of a murdered musician who returns from the dead to hunt the gang of criminals who also killed his fiancee.

Huston recently played disfigured World War I veteran turned mob criminal Richard Harrow on HBO's Boardwalk Empire.The Crow remake will be directed by Corin Hardy with a script by Cliff Dorfman with O'Barr and Australian singer Nick Cave, 57, receiving writing credits.

O'Barr created the graphic novel after his fiancee Beverly was killed in 1978 by a drunk driver.
The Crow star Brandon Lee was the son of martial arts legend Bruce Lee who also died young at age 32 after suffering from an allergic reaction to painkiller medication.

Special effects were used to complete unfinished scenes with Brandon Lee and the movie was dedicated to him and his fiancee Eliza.

The Crow debuted at the top of the box office and earned $50 million at the box office.
The graphic novel created a franchise that includes numerous comic bookss, several novels, four films and a television series.
