Lil Wayne Storms Off Stage
Lil Wayne Storms Off Stage, Lil Wayne stormed off stage during a concert at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Thursday, apparently furious when the DJ played the wrong version of a track.
The rapper had already performed several songs and was set to dive into his own remix version of “CoCo” when the DJ began playing the original track by O.T. Genasis. Wayne was not happy, staring down the DJ in disbelief before throwing his microphone and leaving the stage. At that point, the crowd was not happy.
It’s been an eventful week for Lil Wayne. On Wednesday, police raced to his Miami Beach mansion when they received a call from an individual who claimed to have shot four people at the house. The whole thing turned out to be a “swatting” prank, in which a hoaxer fakes an emergency to draw police attention. Fortunately, no one was actually hurt, although the hoax diverted law enforcement resources from where they were really needed.
Wayne has not yet commented on Twitter about what happened at Nova Southeastern, but video of his angry departure has surfaced.
