Paul Walker jokes cut from Bieber roast

Paul Walker jokes cut from Bieber roast, Comedy Central will cut jokes about the late Paul Walker made during the Roast of Justin Bieber before its television airing March 30.

The raunchy comedy roasting of Bieber, shot in Los Angeles Saturday night, featured a few jokes about the Fast and Furious star who died in a car crash November 30, 2013.

A statement from a Comedy Central spokesperson on Monday said the Paul Walker jokes went too far and would be removed.

"Roasts often push the limits of good taste and we give the participants full reign to try things knowing we have the edit to shape the show," the statement read. "Sometimes the line is discovered by crossing it. The Paul Walker references will not be in the telecast."

Comedian Jeffrey Ross told one Walker joke from the roast podium, directing it at the visibly uncomfortable fellow roaster Ludacris onstage. Ludacris was a friend and stars with Walker in the actor's final film, the upcoming Fast & Furious 7.

Ross quoted a famous Ludacris lyric in the joke.

"Move b----, get out of the way. That's what Paul Walker should have told that tree," Ross joked as the crowd groaned and more than one audience member booed."Too soon? Too fast? Too furious?" Ross continued. "Give me a break people I'm trying to save this kid's life."

Afterwards, even Bieber said he was offended by the Paul Walker jokes. When asked backstage about the cruelest jab of the night, Bieber replied, "I didn't particularly like the Paul Walker jokes."
