Fans took notice when Garfield did not appear as Stone's date at the Oscars or Golden Globes after she received acting nominations for her performance in "Birdman." One of Hollywood's most beloved couples, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, are on a break, according to multiple reports.
The "Amazing Spider-Man" co-stars have been spending a significant time apart lately due to their busy work schedules, according to People magazine.
Garfield is currently on location in Taiwan filming Martin Scorsese's latest film "Silence" while Stone just wrapped "Aloha" with Bradley Cooper.
The 26-year-old actress' boyfriend of three years was noticeably missing from her side during award season, when she was nominated for her role in "Birdman."
"He's thrown himself in the project to the detriment of all else," a source told the mag of Garfield, 31, and his current movie.
"But it's too early to say the relationship is over."Emma understands his work anxieties — it's why she originally pulled out of 'Cabaret' last year and only did it this year — but they're taking a break from seeing each other," the insider continued.
"They're both a slave to their schedules. This time last year they were privately discussing marriage."
Despite being in relationship limbo, there is still reason to believe that the duo will work things out once they are in the same place again."It's one of those situations where only Andrew and Emma quite know if they'll pick up where they left off or they've separated. They are just separated for work," another source added.
"Andrew is overseas. They are both busy with their careers and have not seen each other."
Amid the split reports, Stone was just spotted with a huge smile on her face at Disneyland on Tuesday with pals.
She was last photographed holding hands with Garfield in early January in New York City.
