Octavia Spencer Slams Report of Diva Behavior at Book Signing: You "Gotta Laugh"
Octavia Spencer Slams Report of Diva Behavior at Book Signing: You "Gotta Laugh", Octavia Spencer being rude to kids—at her children's book signing?! No way, according to the star.
The award-winning actress took to Twitter to slam a report claiming she had diva behavior and was rude to guests during her event at the Barnes & Noble bookstore at The Grove in Los Angeles recently.
"Gotta laugh when ppl would acutally believe that you were rude to a child... at YOUR CHILDREN'S BOOK SIGNING," Spencer wrote earlier today on Twitter.
Octavia made an appearance to autograph copies of her new children's book Randi Rhodes Ninja Detective—The Sweetest Heist in History last week, however, The Daily Mail reported that fans left unhappy over claims that she was "acting like a diva."
The report also says the celeb was very short and blunt during the Q&A with fans, complained about her water and refused to take photos or have small talk with anyone.
Apparently, one woman stormed off yelling, "This woman is an ungrateful, nasty b----! I'm getting a refund on this stupid book. If she talked to me or my child like that it would get really ugly in here so it's best we get our money back and go home before something jumps off."
Yikes! But according to the star, this is all just laughable.
The second book in the Randi Rhodes series takes the young detective and her fellow ninja detectives, DC and Pudge, to New York City to visit Randi's aunt. While the investigating trio explore Randi's old neighborhood in Brooklyn, they uncover an art heist. And just like that, there's a new crime to solve.
