Small plane crashes at Manassas, Va., airport, no casualties, A small plane crashed Thursday morning as it landed at Manassas, Va., Regional Airport, but no injuries reported, an airport spokeswoman said.

The single-engine Cessna 172, carrying no cargo and only its pilot aboard, flipped wheels-up and rested on its wings after the crash, the website of the Prince William County, Va., newspaper Potomac Local reported.

The runway remained closed until the plane was removed, airport spokeswoman Patty Prince said.

Emergency crews from Prince William County and the city of Manassas dealt with the emergency, Potomac Local said.
